President Trump Reviews Iranian Proposal Amid Ongoing Conflict
President Donald Trump announced that he is reviewing a new proposal from Iran aimed at ending the ongoing conflict. This proposal, reportedly a 14-point plan, was sent via Pakistan in response to a previous nine-point proposal from the U.S. The discussions come amid a three-week ceasefire that appears to be holding. President Trump has also proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a critical passage for global oil and natural gas trade. Meanwhile, the health of Iranian rights lawyer Narges Mohammadi, who is imprisoned, has deteriorated, prompting calls for her transfer to Tehran for medical treatment.
