Pilots To The Rescue Transports Sick Puppy to New Life in New York
A nonprofit organization, Pilots To The Rescue, recently facilitated the transport of a sick puppy named Tofu from an overcrowded shelter in Louisiana to a rescue organization in New York. Tofu, diagnosed with a rare condition called megaesophagus, required specialized care and surgery to stabilize his health. The organization, founded by Michael Schneider, aims to relocate animals from high-kill shelters to places where they can be adopted. Tofu's journey involved a flight with 34 other animals, and upon arrival, he was placed in foster care with Friends Forever Animal Rescue. After seven months, Tofu, renamed Jinshi, was adopted by a family who later became foster parents themselves.
