UK Ministry of Defence Orders Skyhammer Missiles to Counter Iranian Drone Threat
The UK Ministry of Defence has announced a contract with Cambridge Aerospace for the delivery of Skyhammer counter-drone missiles. These missiles are designed to intercept and neutralize threats from Iranian Shahed-style drones. The initial batch of missiles and launchers is expected to be delivered in May, with further deliveries scheduled over the next six months. The contract includes integration, technical support, and training for end users. Cambridge Aerospace, a UK start-up, has rapidly developed the Skyhammer system, which has demonstrated successful interceptions in various conditions.
