Pope Leo XIV Hosts Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to Discuss Bilateral Relations
Pope Leo XIV welcomed Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to the Vatican for discussions on Thursday. The meeting, which also included Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin and Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, focused on the strong relations between the Holy See and Poland. The discussions addressed Poland's social and economic conditions, the relationship between the local Church and the State, particularly in education and ethical matters, and Poland's role within the European Union. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine was also a topic of conversation, highlighting Poland's geopolitical significance in the region.
