Brittany Ferries Reports 33% Increase in Guernsey Bookings, Boosting Tourism
Brittany Ferries has announced a significant increase in bookings for ferry services to and from Guernsey, with a 33% rise year-on-year. As of late January, 60,880 passengers had booked sailings between the UK, France, and Guernsey for the year 2026, compared to 45,713 bookings at the same point in 2025. This growth is attributed to the company's contract with the States of Guernsey, which began in April, and effective marketing strategies in the UK and France. The company has also reported an increase in its overall market share of sea travel to the Channel Islands, reaching 48%. Christophe Mathieu, the CEO of Brittany Ferries, expressed satisfaction with the growth, highlighting the positive impact on the tourism industry in the Bailiwick and the increasing appeal of Guernsey as a destination.
