This marks the second Cabinet official dismissed by President Trump, following the removal of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on March 5. The Attorney General in the U.S. holds significant power as the head of the Department of Justice, with responsibilities akin to a Home Minister in other governmental structures.
