Acting Attorney General Reveals Additional Evidence in Comey's Indictment for Alleged Threats Against President Trump
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has disclosed that the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey for alleged threats against President Trump is based on more than just a controversial Instagram post. The post in question, made in May 2025, featured seashells arranged to spell '86 47,' which the Justice Department interpreted as a threat to the president. However, Blanche emphasized on NBC's 'Meet the Press' that the investigation involved more substantial evidence beyond this post. He assured that career professionals in the FBI, Secret Service, and U.S. Attorney's Office conducted a thorough investigation. Comey, who was indicted by a federal grand jury in North Carolina, has denied any wrongdoing and plans to contest the charges.
