Train Collision Near Jakarta Results in Fatalities and Injuries
A tragic train collision occurred near Jakarta, Indonesia, resulting in at least four fatalities and dozens of injuries. The incident involved the Argo Bromo Anggrek long-distance train crashing into the rear of a stationary commuter train at Bekasi Timur Station. The commuter train's rear car, designated for women only, was severely damaged, trapping several passengers. Rescue teams are working to free those trapped, while the state-owned railway company, PT Kereta Api Indonesia, has issued an apology. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
