Bronx Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Shooting of Jets Player Kris Boyd
Frederick Green, a 20-year-old from the Bronx, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting of New York Jets player Kris Boyd. The incident occurred on November 16 in Midtown Manhattan, where Boyd was shot in the abdomen. The bullet traveled to his lung and lodged in the pulmonary artery, necessitating multiple medical procedures. Green was apprehended at the University at Buffalo North Campus and faces additional charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Boyd, known for his special teams contributions, surprised his teammates by visiting the Jets' facility in December, where he was warmly received.
