African Union Endorses Sudanese Dialogue Initiative Amidst Civilian Opposition
The African Union (AU) has officially endorsed a new Sudanese dialogue initiative aimed at resolving the country's ongoing civil war. This endorsement, announced on Monday, follows the launch of consultations by a Khartoum-based preparatory committee of public figures. The committee's goal is to coordinate talks with various political and civil society actors, operating with security guarantees provided by the army-led government.
