In the city of Fez, Morocco, two residential buildings collapsed on December 10, 2025, leading to the deaths of at least 22 people and injuring 16 others. The buildings, located in the Al Massira suburb, had shown signs of structural deterioration for several years. The collapse occurred suddenly, with one building reportedly falling onto the other. At the time of the incident, one building was empty, while the other was hosting a celebration for the birth of a child. Rescue operations are currently underway to locate any survivors trapped under the rubble. Nearby residents have been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
