Ukrainian Drone Strikes Target Russia's Second-Largest Online Retailer Ozon
Warehouses belonging to Ozon, Russia's second-largest online retailer, have been hit by a series of Ukrainian drone strikes. Ozon reported that its logistics facilities in the southern regions of Krasnodar, Dagestan, Stavropol, and Adygea were on fire, resulting in several injuries. This follows previous strikes on Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer. Ukraine's defense ministry stated that these systematic strikes on 'dual-use goods storage centers' complicate enemy logistics and negatively impact the Russian economy. The Kremlin, however, denies that these online platforms are used for military supplies. Videos posted on social media, verified by the BBC, show drones hitting warehouses and large plumes of smoke and flames. Ozon, founded in 1998, is a significant online presence in Russia, with pick-up posts and delivery boxes across the country, often co-located with Wildberries.
