Kagiso Rabada created a world record and etched his name in history books after completing 350 Test wickets. The right-arm pacer achieved the milestone
during the fifth day's play of the third and final Test of the series against Australia. Rabada was four wickets short of the milestone before the start of the fixture. He scalped one wicket in the first innings and has dismissed three Australian batsmen in their second innings thus far. Rabada broke Dale Steyn's record and he is now the quickest bowler to achieve this milestone (in terms of balls taken). Rabada scalped his 350th Test wicket off the 13808th ball he bowled. Steyn bowled 14719 balls to take 250 wickets. Waqar Younis (14905) sits third in the elite list. Malcolm Marshall (16285) and Mitchell Starc (16908) sit fourth and fifth in the elite list, respectively. Rabada made his Test debut against India in 2015 and he has been one of the most consistent performers in world cricket. He plays all three formats for South Africa and is also a regular in IPL. Apart from completing 350 Test wickets, Rabada also completed 600 wickets in international cricket. He has become the fifth South African to achieve this milestone. With 829 wickets, Shaun Pollock tops the elite list. He is followed by Dale Steyn, who scalped 699 wickets. Makhaya Ntini (662) and Allan Donald (602) are ahead of Rabada. Rabada looks set to go past Donald soon.
