Neer Arohan Medhi won the Boys' U14 Singles title at the Assam State Selection Trials, defeating Parashmani Das 11-7 in the final. The championship clash
saw Medhi hold his advantage in a contest where every point carried significance. With the title within reach, the youngster showed composure to navigate the decisive exchanges and prevent Das from turning the match in his favour. Medhi's 11-7 victory reflected a competitive encounter, with Das also putting up a fight before eventually settling for the runner-up position. The final scoreline suggested that the contest remained within reach for both players, but Medhi managed the important moments more effectively to establish his superiority. For the eventual champion, the victory marked an important achievement in the junior category. Winning a tournament final requires not only technical ability but also the temperament to handle the pressure of a title-deciding encounter. Medhi demonstrated both qualities as he successfully completed his challenge against Das.
