Iran played out a 2-2 draw at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles during the FIFA World Cup match against New Zealand. Both teams fought hard for the win, but
couldn't land a decisive blow. It will be a bittersweet feeling for Iran, who were hopeful of a win but failed to accomplish the feat. However, they were behind in the match twice and came back to level with New Zealand. Elijah gave New Zealand an early lead in the match after scoring in just the seventh minute of the game. Iran, however, bounced back with an equaliser in the 32nd minute, courtesy of Ramin Rezaeian goal. Elijah again put New Zealand ahead with a brilliant goal in the 55th minute, but Iran made it even after Mohammad Mohebi's strike in the 64th minute. Iran had a chance to take the lead in the final moments, but New Zealand showed strong defence to keep Iran at bay. More to follow...
