What is the story about?
After a glamorous opening ceremony on Saturday (September 19) and a few events over the last three days, action in the 2026 Asian Games will start properly
on Sunday (September 20), with India's 492-athlete-strong contingent set to feature heavily. On the first day of action, there will be Indian participation in as many as 30 events across nine sports. There is a chance of winning seven medals in the day. Meanwhile, the Indian women's cricket team will be in action as they face Bangladesh in the semi-final. Elsewhere, Indian men's and women's team in both Hockey and Table Tennis will kickstart their competition. The Indian women's badminton team will also play their first match.
