Cristiano Ronaldo has made a stunning revelation just days after his marriage to long-time partner Georgina Rodríguez and claimed that the 2026-27 season,
which just commenced, could be his final campaign before he announces his retirement. The 41-year-old is playing for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, which will aim to defend the Saudi Pro League title under new head coach Ange Postecoglou. The 41-year-old did not confirm his retirement but claimed this could be his final year in an interaction with the Vogue magazine. He admitted quitting the sport will leave a huge void in his career but claims he has several things to keep him busy. "This is probably my last year of football, and I want to leave a spectacular legacy. He’s looking forward to spending more time with the family. I have my future all mapped out. I have so many things to keep me busy that to tell you just one thing is hard. Because football could leave a big hole, you have to fill your time in various ways, not just one. And also have more fun, travel more, watch and play padel, which I really like, and continue to enjoy what I’ve earned—what we’ve earned. Because after all it’s been 25 years with a lot of sacrifice.” said Ronaldo. He further did not rule out the possibility of having more kids in the future. The Portuguese football legend is already the father of five children and shares two of them (Alana and Eva born in 2017 and 2022 respectively) with Georgina. "I never say never (on having more children," said Ronaldo. "Another baby now would be overbooking [she uses the English word] at home. But when the youngest are 15 or 16 we’ll still be young, so why not? It’s true that I can’t imagine myself without small children, so we’ll see," Georgina added.
