The AI chatbot predicted the Mumbai Indians to top the table with 10 wins from 14 matches with 20 points in the bag. Gujarat Titans finish second in the table with 9 wins in 14 matches and 18 points. Behind Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad are in third position with 18 points from nine wins in 14 matches. Hyderabad loses out on the second position due to a lower run rate than the Gujarat Titans, which ultimately affects their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. Last year’s champion, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, made it to the top four with eight victories in 14 matches and 16 points.

The AI predicted the top four and named the three teams that it expects to see at the bottom. According to the chatbot, Rajasthan Royals will be at the bottom with only two wins from 14 matches and four points, whereas Lucknow Super Giants will be the second-bottom team in the tournament with four victories and eight points.
Qualifier I, Eliminator and Qualifier II

In Qualifier I, the Mumbai Indians face the Gujarat Titans, and the AI predicts a six-wicket victory for the Mumbai Indians. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated defending champion Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 14 runs in the Eliminator, thanks to Hyderabad’s big total by the top orders, whereas their spinners did enough to defend the target. In Qualifier II, though, the Gujarat Titans find their way back to winning and defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets.

In the final, the Mumbai Indians win against the Gujarat Titans, and the reason that ChatGPT gave is – ‘They have the best mix of proven Indian batting, overseas flexibility, powerplay bowling, death bowling and all-round depth. In a playoff setting, Bumrah plus Boult plus Hardik is the attack I trust most, and SKY/Tilak/Hardik give them the calmest chase profile.’
It is highly likely that any prediction made by ChatGPT will come true, but if it does, the Mumbai Indians will increase their trophy count from five to six.
