Team Indiaspinner Kuldeep Yadav looked at his best in the Asia Cup 2025 match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 10. In India’s nine-wicket
win, the 30-year-old spin wizard played a pivotal role with the ball. He bagged 4/7 figures in his 2.1-over spell and became the player of the match (POTM). In the past, Kuldeep, who has been superb with the ball in white-ball cricket consistently, has witnessed himself getting dropped from the team despite doing the best. Noting this, ex-India batter Sanjay Manjrekar looked sarcastic on his social media handle.
Taking to X, Manjrekar wrote thatKuldeep Yadavclaimed three wickets in an over for India but now, he might not get a chance to feature in India’s XI in the next match. "Kuldeep has 3 in one over. May not play the next game now," read the renowned commentator’s X post.
Kuldeep Yadav spoke on his bowling performance against the UAE
Following the sensational performance against the UAE, Kuldeep Yadav appeared in a post-match presser and spoke about the lack of game time. "It was tough for me. I was working on my bowling and my fitness as well and everything was going perfect tonight. The length matters a lot, reading the batters. Especially in this format, the length is the main thing and reading the batters and what they are trying to do. Reacting to what the batter was trying to do," said Kuldeep.
With the outing against the UAE, Kuldeep Yadav played his first T20I game after June 2024. He also didn’t get a chance in India’s playing XI against England in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 held in England from June 20 to August 4.
