Team Indiawicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has posted a story on Instagram through which he has remembered the victims of Uttarakhand floods. India’s North Indian hill state has been receiving heavy rainfall
for the last few weeks which has resulted in floods. The calamity has claimed several human lives and valuable properties of the residents in the state. Chilling visuals are emerging from the state as roads, houses and shops can be seen getting washed away. Amidst these scenes, local boy Pant has dedicated an Instagram story to the victims who lost their lives in the natural calamity.
Taking to X, Rishabh Pant wrote that the floods are devastating and also urged people to help the affected during these testing times. “Seeing the devastating floods and cloudbursts in my hometown, Uttarakhand is deeply painful. My thoughts and prayers are with every family affected, especially those who have lost homes, belongings or loved ones. I urge each and every person to contribute in their own way, if you can and help those affected. I hope everyone stays safe and I pray for strength, quick relief, and a swift recovery for all those impacted May rescue and relief teams reach each and every corner,” read Pant's story.
Rishabh Pant looking to make a comeback from injury
Rishabh Pant is looking to make a comeback from his foot injury. During the Manchester Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, Pant’s foot got hurt while striving to play a reverse sweep against England’s veteran pacer Chris Woakes. However, as per ESPNcricinfo report, Pant’s foot is no longer causing issues for him as the 27-year-old has started walking comfortably.
Pant is expected to visit the BCCI Centre of Excellence to start his rehabilitation training. The southpaw will strive to gain complete fitness to attend India’s upcoming crucial assignment against Australia and South Africa.
