Rasmus Hojlund, a Danish international footballer played for Manchester United, making his debut for the team in 2023. The 22-year-old has made a total of 95 appearances for the Red Devils since the time
he joined from Atalanta and has scored a total of 26 goals for United over his term at the club. However, he is now set for the next chapter of his career in Italy.
Rasmus Hojlund has officially joined Napoli for the remainder of the 25/26 season on loan with an option to buy, as Napoli have confirmed via their official statement. Napoli will pay a £5.2 million fee for the loan with an option to trigger the buy clause worth £38m. The buy clause will be applied if Napoli qualify for the Champions League next season, which looks like a likely feat for the club to achieve.
Napoli completed the signing of Hojlund following the injury sustained to Romelu Lukaku
Napoli were desperate to find a replacement for Romelu Lukaku before the deadline day following an injury to the Belgian international during a match. Rasmus Hojlund was a tempting option on the table for Napoli due to his physical prowess and goal scoring abilities. He is now all set to join the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and his former Manchester United team mate Scott McTominay who has become a star in Napoli since his move from Manchester United.
Manchester United did not consider Hojlund as part of their plans due to their latest arrival of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig which would have made Hojlund the third option striker to start for Man United. Hojlund has been very respectful to Manchester United throughout the whole process and is now all set to unleash his flair at Napoli.
