Oscar Piastri, the McLaren F1 driver, will have his own grandstand at the Australian Grand Prix in the city of Melbourne, where he was born in 2001. The 24-year-old is the current leader of the F1 Drivers’
Championship in the ongoing 2025 season by nine points, finding himself ahead of his McLaren teammate Lando Norris from Great Britain with 10 races still remaining in the calendar.
Notably, the F1 2025 season, Oscar Piastri has managed to win six races out of 13, becoming the first Australian driver to achieve this feat since the Drivers’ World Championship came into existence in 1950. With eight total race wins in F1, the Australian is fast becoming one of the most sought after drivers on the grid with his best still to come, although he is yet to secure a podium in his home race.
With his fourth Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne set to kick off the F1 2026 season on March 8, Oscar Piastri will be hoping to get the monkey off his back by winning it for the first-time ever in his young career. He is now set to join the list of current drivers with grandstands on the F1 Grand Prix calendar, which includes names like Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, and his McLaren teammate Lando Norris.
