The Indian bowling unit ripped through the Ireland batting unit in no time with Harshit Rana announcing his comeback with the ball and Arshdeep Singh chipping in with a wicket as well. Having won the toss,

Shreyas Iyer will be extremely happy with the performance from his bowlers and they have really been hitting the lengths perfectly.

Harshit Rana has returned to the side after a long break due to injury and he has dismissed both the openers here. After an expensive first over from Arshdeep Singh, he picked a wicket in the form of Harry Tector in his second over. This has been a solid start from the side and India has really tightened their grip over the proceedings in the powerplay.

The Ireland side will be quite disappointed with the quick fall of wickets as they had a good couple of boundaries to start the innings. The openers were treading carefully and they would have loved to give the side a good start but Harshit Rana turned the game on its head.

Tim Tector was dropped early on in the game by Shivam Dube but he wasn’t able to capitalize on the opportunity as he was dismissed by Rana later on. The hosts will be looking forward to a solid partnership formed between at least one of the pairs so that they could put up a commendable total on board.

India have been absolutely on top of their game with the ball and they pushed the hosts on to the backfoot. The bowlers will be keen on piling up the pressure on the batters and Harshit Rana has been impactful for the side as well.
