Ederson, the Brazilian goalkeeper, has been a major part of Manchester City success during his long stay at the club while making over 370 appearances. However, his time with Manchester City and manager
Pep Guardiola in the goal during the last campaign wasn't quite as good as some of the previous seasons, leading to him getting benched at times.
And now, according to the latest reports, Manchester City have received a first official bid from Galatasaray, who want to secure the services Brazilian goalkeeper after it was rumoured last month that they have proposed a bid for him. The Turkish giants have sent an offer of €10 million to the English club as they now consider his signing as priority. Manchester City are willing to let the 31-year-old leave from the club this summer.
However, they are asking for a higher transfer fee as they are not satisfied with Galatasaray’s evaluation for their goalkeeper. Galatasaray will now have to send a higher bid for meeting the demands of Man City and signing the Brazilian before the end of the window.
Ederson’s departure could see Gianluigi Donnarumma joining Man City; personal terms agreed: Reports
Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was removed from the PSG squad for the UEFA Super Cup final by the manager Luis Enrique earlier this week. The Ligue 1 team, who had signed Lucas Chevalier from their rivals LOSC Lille earlier in the season, helped the team win the trophy on penalties against Tottenham Hotspur. With the absence of Donnarumma not felt at PSG in such a big clash, it is now understood that Man City, who have been linked with him, are the favourites to get his signature.
Donnarumma has already agreed on personal terms with Man City. However, his signing can only be completed by Manchester City if Ederson leaves the club this transfer window. They already have completed the signing of James Trafford as the goalkeeper for the upcoming season, however, as Donnarumma is now available in the transfer market, City are now focusing on increasing their squad depth for this season.
