One of the most stylish, popular, widely noted teams in all of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) unit. Their craze really heightens the overall popularity of the Indian Premier League itself
and quite frankly, their fans are now all around the world and not just in the city of Bengaluru. RCB have, only recently, as seen towards the very end of the last season in 2025, bagged a title. Rather, one should say the RCB have, after slogging, trying, attempting and going through various ups and downs in the past eighteen years of the IPL, finally won a trophy.
Theirs is a story of courage and of persistence and about not giving up. They've also faltered all along but truly, they never gave up, as seen by the bold ambition of their most iconic player Virat Kohli. But that being said, what have been the RCB's marquee trade deals where it comes to some players in all of their IPL history?
Here's look at complete list of Royal Challengers Bengaluru trade deals in Indian Premier League History:

A belter of a move by the RCB
Strategic, high profile and very important - these are some of the adjectives that can be used to describe on of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's very key moves as seen in the more recent times. And this one marquee deal pertains to the last to last season, for 2024. In what would be among the high-profile moves made by RCB, the team would acquire Australian star Cameron Green. One of the game's finest and most critically rising all rounders, he was expected to up the ante of the RCB attack on the whole. Up until the, he had been a key member of the Mumbai Indians side. And after spending a very fine season with the Mumbai franchise, the tall Aussie would spend time for just one season with the Bengaluru-based franchise who had got him on board for a staggering ₹17.5 crore.
However, the partnership was short-lived. After just one season, Green sustained a back injury, prompting RCB to release him ahead of the 2025 season.
A significant RCB trade deal!
A particular trade deal executed by the famous Royal Challengers Bengaluru camp that proved exceptionally fruitful for their franchise pertained to the acquisition of Harshal Patel during the 2020 season. Now if you think about it, it was half a decade back in the day. But a move that would be a valuable one. However, at the beginning of it, this move was initially considered as an understated one, it would soon become evident that the fast bowler Harshal Patel was a vital asset to RCB's set-up. He'd subsequently emerge as the team's most effective bowling option. But even that necessary talent boost didn't help the Bangalore team to a title triumph.
Then comes the true benefit of the move made as one saw in the 2021 season, with Harshal Patel making history by claiming 32 wickets. Yes, 32 and you read that right. In what would be the joint-highest tally in a single IPL season, Patel emerged as the great nadir of batters.
He would bowl magnificently and help Bengaluru seal that crucial spot in the season's playoffs and that's about it. No trophies back then again.
