Jadon Sancho, the Manchester United winger, 25, who got outcasted from the team by manager Ruben Amorim, has been in a search of a new club in the ongoing summer transfer. When AS Roma reportedly came
calling with an offer worth £20 million for him, it was widely expected that he would join them, especially after getting approval from Manchester United, but now, Jadon Sancho decided to not accept the Italian club’s proposal.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the Italian journalist, has reported on his official X account that Jadon Sancho wasn’t able to agree on personal terms with AS Roma, which led to the move falling through. It is also understood that Turkish club Besiktas, under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, are interested in signing the Englishman, but he is not willing to accept their proposal before September, and it’s because at this time the transfer window will only be open in Turkey.
Jadon Sancho wants to consider proposal of other clubs
The agent of Jadon Sancho informed AS Roma about his decision to not accept their proposal, wanting to consider the proposal of the other clubs interested in him. As far as Manchester United are concerned, they want the offer of around £20 million from other clubs to sell the 25-year-old, but with the transfer window starting to wind down, it is likely that the Red Devils will have to settle for something a bit less.
One of the key stumbling blocks for clubs wanting to sign Jadon Sancho is his wages around £250,000-a-week, which many are not willing to shell out on him especially with his indifferent form in the Premier League over the past few seasons. It will be interesting to see which club ultimately convinces the English winger to sign for them otherwise he will have to sit on the bench for the first half of the 2025-26 season at Manchester United.
