Liverpool, who are in the form of their lives, are on an unbeaten streak since the start of the season under their manager Arne Slot. The club continued their fiery performance against their Merseyside
rivals Everton, handing them a 2-1 defeat, thanks to sensational goals from Hugo Ekitike and Liverpool’s midfield hero Ryan Gravenberch.
Liverpool’s prolific winger, Mohamed Salah was at his usual best against Everton creating chances left, right and center. Salah displayed a brilliant performance against the Toffees but just wasn't able to find the end product he desired. The Egyptian star is playing in a completely new setup now as he is paired upfront with the likes of new signing Hugo Ekitike and the ever-consistent Dominik Szoboslai and Cody Gakpo. Following the match against Everton, during the post-match interview with TNT sports, Mo Salah was seen evaluating the team’s performance.
I knew where to start with Diogo or Darwin: Mohamed Salah
During his interview the Egyptian King stated that he is still trying to figure out the connections with his team-mates. He said, “I knew where to start with Diogo or Darwin. I knew where to find them.” Liverpool who have made a lot of reinforcements into the attack this season namely Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and the Swedish international Alexander Isak following the departures of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz from the team and also the tragic death of Diogo Jota are still to find the right mix of the team.
Salah is looking forward to more practice sessions with the current team to understand and work according to the playing styles of each of the team members. The winger is keen on finding the mojo with the team, which will prove very beneficial for the Reds to defend their league title and also to prioritise on Champions League glory this season.
