Cristiano Ronaldo is back playing football and he has turned up with a new look. Just two days after marrying long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez, the Portugal legend returned to Al-Nassr training in Riyadh
on Thursday. The thing that caught everyone’s eye was his new hairstyle. Ronaldo has swapped his familiar dark brown hair for a copper-yellow shade. The shorter, lighter look is a clear departure from the style he sported during Portugal’s World Cup campaign. The 41-year-old shared pictures from the session on social media and soon the images had plenty of likes and comments. The caption of the post read “Back”.
Al-Nassr welcomed their captain back ahead of the new season. The club posted images of his arrival and later shared footage of the team session, where coach Ange Postecoglou and the squad gave him a warm round of applause. Postecoglou was heard congratulating Ronaldo on his marriage and saying it was good to have him back. His return comes after Portugal’s exit from the 2026 World Cup in the round of 16 against Spain. Al-Nassr are preparing for the start of the new Saudi Pro League season, and their star player has arrived.
Ronaldo ties knot with Georgina Rodriguez in a private ceremony
Ronaldo and Rodriguez tied the knot in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, near Lisbon, on Tuesday (August 11). The event was attended by their five children and there were not many guests. The couple confirmed the news by posting a photo of their hands showing off matching wedding rings. The two have been together for nearly a decade after first meeting in Madrid when Rodriguez worked at a Gucci store and Ronaldo was still at Real Madrid. They are parents to five children. Ronaldo’s eldest is Cristiano Jr., followed by the twins Eva and Mateo. The couple also have two daughters Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda.
The date of marriage carried a quiet meaning. On 11 August 2025, Georgina had announced their engagement with a picture of a large diamond ring and the words “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.” and exactly one year later they got married. In the days leading up to the wedding, rumours flew that the ceremony would take place at Funchal Cathedral on Ronaldo’s home island of Madeira. Around 2,000 fans gathered there, only to discover it was a different couple getting married. The real wedding happened quietly more than 500 kilometres away in Cascais where the family own a home. Since joining Al-Nassr in early 2023, Ronaldo has played 148 matches and scored 129 goals. The Portugal captain will be looking to have another great season in Saudi Arabia.
