With this clip, Rohit has alluded that he loves playing the sport and he has no intention to retire from the game as rumours are doing rounds in the media that the veteran might hang up his boots from international cricket after the upcoming Australia tour.
Rohit Sharma expected to lead India to a series win in Australia
Rohit Sharma will look to guide India to the ODI series triumph Down Under. So far, only Ms Dhoni and Virat Kohli have tasted success as skippers for India in Australia. In 2007, India outclassed Australia and Sri Lanka to register their maiden 50-over success in Australia.
After 12 years, India beat Australia in a three-match ODI competition by 2-1 under Kohli. Rohit will also be expected to dominate the hosts, who will play the series without their captain Pat Cummins, who won’t show up due to his back issues. Discussing Rohit’s batting numbers in Aussie conditions, he has amassed 1328 runs with five centuries and four fifties in 30 matches.
