Netizens minced no words and slammed the Mumbai Indians for their poor batting show against Chennai Super Kings. Both teams locked horns for the first time without MS Dhoni or Rohit Sharma on Thursday,
April 23. The game saw Chennai Super Kings batting first, and put up a total of 207 runs with the loss of six wickets. While the rest of their batting lineup failed to perform, their opener Sanju Samson stood till the end and came up with his second century of the season .
While the Indians had planned to continue their dominance in the second innings, CSK bowlers had different plans. The Yellow Army paved its way back into the game and picked three wickets in the powerplay. Opener Danish Malewar was the first to depart on a duck on the last ball of the first over, followed by Quinton de Dock. Naman Dhir departed on a three-ball duck, courtesy of another Akeal Hosein delivery.
