With 285 runs in four innings of five games, he is the third-highest run-scorer in the competition. He has notched up the scores of 121 (51), 89 (46), 62 (37), and 83 (41) so far in the tournament.
Sanju Samson to serve Team India in the Asia Cup 2025
After completing his job for Kochi Blue Tigers, Sanju Samson will be seen in action for Team India in the Asia Cup 2025, set to be played from September 9 to 28. India’s opening game will be against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 10 while four days later, the Men in Blue will square off against Pakistan in Dubai.
Samson might be assigned the task to open the innings with Abhishek Sharma, but with Shubman Gill also in the side, the chances look bleak. This year, the 30-year-old has played five T20Is, in which he amassed only 51 runs at a miserable average of 10.20. In the continental tournament, he will look to be impactful in order to help his national side retain the coveted Asia Cup trophy.
