Gill, who was promoted to India’s T20I vice-captain ahead of the Asia Cup, walked towards Abhishek Sharma’s father with the top-order batter and Arshdeep Singh. Gill met Sharma’s father and was spotted touching his feet in a heartwarming gesture.

Not only this, as the two interacted, Arshdeep Singh also went down to touch Abhishek’s father’s feet, who watched the Indian team’s practice session from the sidelines at the ICC Academy in Dubai on the eve of the match.

Notably, after the training session at the ICC Academy, the two Indian openers in Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill were spotted getting into an intense chat. The duo looked engrossed in something after Shubman Gill also took out his phone and saw something to Sharma.

While Gill is coming after an elongated break from T20Is, he played an unbeaten 20 off nine balls in India’s opening game against UAE.
