As they set their eyes on the record ninth title, ahead of the upcoming Group A clash, star Indian batter Shubman Gill was seen bringing up a heartfelt gesture. Gill, who was promoted to India’s T20I vice-captain ahead of the Asia Cup, walked towards Abhishek Sharma’s father with the top-order batter and Arshdeep Singh. Gill met Sharma’s father and was spotted touching his feet in a heartwarming gesture.

Not only this, as the two interacted, Arshdeep Singh also went down to touch Abhishek’s father’s feet, who watched the Indian team’s practice session from the sidelines at the ICC Academy in Dubai on the eve of the match.

Notably, after the training session at the ICC Academy, the two Indian openers in Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill were spotted getting into an intense chat. The duo looked engrossed in something after Shubman Gill also took out his phone and saw something to Sharma.
Speaking of the pair, the two have been prolific with the bat off late. While Gill is coming after an elongated break from T20Is, he played an unbeaten 20 off nine balls in India’s opening game against UAE. Abhishek Sharma, on the other hand, has risen in ranks to become the top-ranked T20I batter. In the opening game, he scored a 16-ball 30.
