Holi Special Services
To manage the increased passenger demand during the festive Holi period, Central Railway has orchestrated a significant expansion of train services originating
from Pune. This initiative introduces a total of 186 special trains across its network, with a dedicated subset of these services specifically catering to routes from Pune to several prominent cities. These special trains are scheduled to operate between February 21 and March 10, 2026, ensuring ample opportunities for people to travel to and from Pune. The primary objective is to facilitate smoother journeys for individuals heading home or visiting family and friends for the Holi celebrations, thereby alleviating potential overcrowding on regular services. Passengers are advised that booking for all these special Pune-originating trains commenced on February 18, and tickets can be secured through the established channels of computerized reservation centers, the official IRCTC website, and the RailOne mobile application. For those preferring unreserved travel, tickets for the unreserved coaches are available via the UTS system, maintaining normal fares.
