Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah completed 10 years in international cricket on January 23, 2026. Bumrah marked the milestone with a heartfelt Instagram post reflecting on a decade of hard work, success,
and failures.
The right-armer made his international debut against Australia in Sydney in January 2016, finishing with figures of 2/40 in his quota of 10 overs, dismissing Steve Smith for his maiden wicket. At the time, many critics questioned his unorthodox bowling action and credibility at the highest level. A decade later, celebrating the occasion, Bumrah shared a video montage capturing moments of his career, which included his maiden wicket, India’s triumphant 2024 T20 World Cup campaign, where he emerged as the Player of the Tournament.
In his post, he credited his family for helping him stay grounded and resilient throughout his career. The post also featured visuals from the victory parade in Barbados and Mumbai following India’s T20 World Cup win.
"10 years of living the dream of the child who fell in love with the sport that made him feel alive like nothing in this world ever could. The journey of going against assumptions, opinions and perceptions and keeping the belief alive continues, with the love and support of family and God. Waheguruji da shukr eda he baba ji mehraan bhariyaan hath rakheen. Satnam waheguru," he wrote on his post.
