Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma was caught peeking at Reliance Foundation founder Nita Ambani’s phone, and the video quickly went viral across social media platforms. The amusing incident occurred during the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 final between India and South Africa at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
The light-hearted moment, captured by broadcast cameras, showed Rohit glancing curiously at Nita Ambani’s phone screen while seated beside her in the VIP box. Rohit was accompanied
by his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, as the trio enjoyed the thrilling contest from the stands.
In the viral clip, Nita was seen using her phone while watching the match, and Rohit, sitting next to her, was caught sneaking multiple peeks at the screen. Fans on social media were quick to react, flooding platforms with humorous captions and memes about the playful moment.
Rohit has guided the Men in Blue to multiple ICC titles as captain. India ended their long ICC trophy drought with the 2024 T20 World Cup win, and Rohit later led the team to Champions Trophy 2025 glory in the UAE.
The veteran opener was last seen in action during the ODI series against Australia, where India went down 2-1. Despite the series defeat, Rohit stood out with the bat, scoring 202 runs in three innings at an average of 101 and a strike rate of 85, earning the Player of the Series award for his consistency.
The right-hander also reached the No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI batting rankings for the first time in his career. Over the course of 276 ODIs, Rohit has amassed 11,370 runs at an impressive average of 49.22, including 59 fifties and 33 centuries. He is expected to return to action later this month when India host South Africa for a three-match ODI series beginning November 30 in Ranchi.
