The summit clash of the SA20 2025-26 is scheduled to be played between Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape at the Newlands in Cape Town on Sunday, January 25. The Eastern Cape have won two matches
out of three against the Capitals this season.
The Capitals secured the second place with five victories in the bank courtesy of a better net run rate. The Keshav Maharaj-led unit finally got their revenge on the Eastern Cape in Qualifier 1 after getting defeated twice during the league phase to book a straight spot in the final.
The Eastern Cape finished on top of the table with 28 points in their kitty. Two of their matches got washed out due to inclement weather. They lost out to the Capitals in Qualifier 1 by seven wickets, but then defeated Paarl Royals by the same margin to make their entry into the final.
The upcoming contest is will be a repeat of the 2023 final. While the Eastern Cape will be busy chasing their third title, the Capitals will look to win their maiden SA20 silverware.
