Rajasthan Royalsendured a ninth-placed finish in IPL 2025 after winning only four of their 14 round-robin matches. Although there were glimpses of positives from the likes of the young Vaibhav Suryavanshi,
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag, it was an overall disappointing performance from the Rajasthan-based franchise.
Five back-to-back defeats during their tournament halfway through meant their race to the playoffs had long evaporated. RR finished level on points with Chennai Super Kings. However, their slightly less negative net run rate (-0.549) ensured they did not finish rock bottom.
Two massive names of the likes of Sanju Samson and Nitish Rana won't be a part of RR from now on. While Samson was traded to CSK as a part of a Player Swap in place of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, Nitish was traded to DC in exchange of South Africa's Donovan Ferreira.
