Lucknow Super Giants roped in the likes of Anrich Nortje and Naman Tiwari in their setup at the IPL 2026 auction. The franchise also bagged the talented uncapped batting duo of Akshat Raghuvanshi and Mukul Choudhary while they secured the services of Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasarangain as a steal deal.
The team had got Mohammed Shami and Arjun Tendulkar as player trades ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. The overseas trio of Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram finished as the franchise's top
three leading run-getters. LSG had four overseas slots out of six left to fill ahead of the auction.
LSG finished seventh on the points table in IPL 2025, securing the same spot for the second time in a row. Four losses on the trot after the midpoint of their campaign came to hurt their cause at the end. They had qualified for the playoffs in their first two seasons.
