Lucknow Super Giants pacer Prince Yadav bowled through the gates to send back Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli for a two-ball duck in match 50 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium on May 7.
Having swung the previous one away from the right-hander, Prince pitched an in-swinging nip backer on good length, drawing Kohli forward before the ball breached the bat-pad gap and pegged down the off stump. The broadcast graphic later revealed that the pacer extracted
1.47 degrees of swing, and the ball also seamed in after pitching.
It was a moment of redemption for Prince, who had messed up a regulation effort at backward point in the opening over RCB’s chase to concede a boundary to Jacob Bethell. Prince, however, redeemed himself immediately as he caught Bethell on the very next delivery in the same region to give Mohammed Shami his first wicket, and then returned in the next over to get rid of RCB’s talisman Kohli.
Earlier in the day, LSG notched 209 for 3 in a rain-shortened 19-overs-per-side innings on the back of Mitchell Marsh’s staggering 56-ball 111 with nine fours and sixes apiece. Nicholas Pooran (38 off 23) and skipper Rishabh Pant (unbeaten 32 off just 10) provided the impetus to put up a formidable total on the board.
