Kiran Navgire set a new record in women's T20s by scoring the fastest century. The top-order batter finished 106 off 35 as Maharashtra cruised past Punjab with 12 overs to spare in the 2025 Women's T20 Trophy
clash at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground, Civil Lines in Nagpur.
Her 34-ball century eclipsed Sophie Devine's record of 36 balls. Navgire finished with a strike rate of 302.86, also becoming the first women's T20 centurion to end up with a strike rate over 300. Fascinatingly, the next highest score for Maharashtrawas only 6* off 10 by Mukta Magre.
Navgire's knock comprised 14 fours and seven sixes as she scored 106 out of the 113 her team scored; a whopping 93.81% of the total runs in what was a dominating display. The 113/1 also became the lowest total to include an individual hundred in women's T20s.
Navgire has represented India in only six T20Is so far while she has played 25 matches for UP Warriorz in the Women's Premier League (WPL). Navgire has 419 runs at 140.13 with 44 fours and 24 sixes under her belt in the tournament.
Earlier in the match, Punjab were restricted for just 110/6 in their allotted 20-over quota. Kumari was the top-scorer with 30* off 23. Dnyaneshwari Patil conceded only 13 runs in her four overs, while Anuja Patil and BM Mirajkar picked two wickets apiece. Jashanpreet Chahal secured the only wicket to fall for Maharashtra, conceding only eight runs in her one over.
