Nominees in both categories are selected on the basis of performances recorded across the full
calendar month. The ICC Voting Academy, a panel that includes former players, journalists, broadcasters and ICC Hall of Fame members, holds a 90 per cent share of the final vote. Registered fans contribute the remaining 10 per cent and can cast their votes at the ICC website. Winners will be announced in the second week of August on ICC's digital channels.

Harry Brook's month was one of two halves. He managed only 31 runs across England's ODI series against India, but he was a different player in the T20I series that followed. Across five matches, he accumulated 229 runs at a staggering average of 114.50 and a strike rate of 214.01, finishing as the series' leading run-scorer and collecting the Player of the Series award.
Justin Greaves delivered a remarkable all-round contribution across two Test series for the West Indies. Sciver-Bruntwas instrumental in England's run to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 campaign despite sustaining a calf injury during the tournament. With England in a tricky situation at 23 for 3 in the semi-final against South Africa, she scored 75 off 47 deliveries and shared a 133-run fourth-wicket stand with Heather Knight to steer the side through.
