Opener Andreis Gous' well-made 82 took the Kings to a total of 187 for 8, which they defended successfully to seal a victory with a brilliant bowling performance. They will be looking to continue the momentum

The Patriots started their campaign with a 19-run loss to the defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders, in a game that was cut short by rain. They were restricted to a total of 109 for 9 before the Knight Riders put on 94 for 2 in 15 overs before the game was called off due to rain. They will be looking to get their first victory of the campaign.
