Former India captain Sachin Tendulkar shared a post on his official social media handle, revealing that he recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to invite him to his son Arjun's wedding with Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai's granddaughter Saaniya Chandhok.
As per several media reports, Arjun Tendulkar is set to tie the knot with fiancée, Saaniya Chandhok, on March 5 this year. The two families had decided to maintain silence around the engagement, which in turn sparked speculations about the ceremony.
However, Sachin provided an update on the auspicious occasion during an interaction with fans on social media. A user asked the legendary cricketer, "Did Arjun really get engaged?" to which the Master Blaster replied, "Yes, he did, and we are really excited for the new phase in his life".
"We were honoured to invite Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thank you, Modi ji, for your blessings and thoughtful advice for the young couple," Tendulkar wrote on his official 'X' (formerly Twitter) handle.
Arjun has been playing domestic cricket for Goa after shifting base from Mumbai. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), he has been associated with the Mumbai Indians, but ahead of the 2026 mini-auction, he was traded to the Lucknow Super Giants.
