India’s squad for the Tour of Zimbabwe announced
The Men's Selection Committee has picked India's squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, to be played in Harare.
In a major turn of events, Sanju Samson has not been included in the squad following a string of underwhelming scores in Ireland and England, which resulted in Vaibhav Sooryavanshi making his international debut. The 15-year-old maintains his place in the side. Meanwhile, Mayank Yadav and Rinku Singh have been recalled to the international setup.
India have also
given maiden international call-ups to Prabhsimran Singh, Ashok Sharma and Yash Thakur. Meanwhile, Harsh Dubey, who recently represented the Men in Blue in One Day Internationals (ODIs) against Afghanistan, has received his first call-up to the 20-over side.
India conclude their white-ball tour of England on July 19, just four days before their first game against Zimbabwe. All three matches of the series against the African outfit are set to be played at one venue, the Harare Sports Club in the capital city. The two sides are set to play three matches in a span of four days, ending India's white-ball run with the Test series against Sri Lanka coming next.
