While Virat Kohli appeared for the launch of his homegrown shoe brand at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, a reporter asked a cheeky question to the cricketer about the quirky price point of the flagship footwear.
On Sunday, June 21, popular host Danish Sait asked the cricketer as to why the price of the shoes was kept at INR 9230, exactly the amount of runs he scored in Tests. Sait further asked if he would return to Test cricket in order to add some more runs, eventually getting to increase the price of the shoes.
However, a humorous side of Kohli was on the cards, as he gave a straightforward response to the question.
"The Red shoes have been priced at Rs 9230 (Virat’s Test runs), so would you want to return to Test cricket and add more runs to make the shoe make more money?," Sait asked.
"Na na I would rather undersell, I am done with Test cricket," Virat replied humorously as quoted by Sportstak.
