The much-anticipated wedding of Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana and well-known music composer Palash Muchhal was underway on Sunday in Sangli; however, the celebration was halted for a limited time due to the unexpected entry of an ambulance.
Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been one of the most talked-about celebrity events of the year. The couple, who began dating in 2019 and maintained a low-profile relationship until 2024, celebrated a week-long series of pre-wedding festivities. Their
sangeet, mehendi, and haldi ceremonies were filled with heartfelt moments.
However, amid all the vibrant celebrations, the arrival of an ambulance at the venue created a moment of tension. Eyewitnesses reported a brief state of confusion, as no one initially knew what had happened or who required emergency attention. Meanwhile, fans who were closely following the wedding through livestreams and social media updates were taken aback. Clips showing the ambulance entering the venue quickly went viral.

According to early information, one person present at the venue suffered a medical emergency and had to be immediately transported to a nearby hospital. Although the identity of the individual and the nature of the health issue have not been disclosed, sources confirmed that it was not linked to the bride, groom, or their immediate family.
The organizers and family members quickly stepped in to manage the situation, ensuring the person received urgent care. However, they have chosen not to issue an official statement yet, likely due to privacy and security reasons. Despite the temporary disruption, the ceremony resumed shortly after, and the wedding continued as planned.
