Delhi Capitals Women (DC W) have emerged as runners-up of the Women's Premier League in all three editions of the marquee tournament. They have not been able to win the competition even once, despite finishing as the table-toppers on each occasion and playing the summit clash without having to go through the Eliminator.
Ahead of the 2026 instalment of the Women's Premier League, DC W had retained five players and entered the mega auction with INR 5.70 crore remaining in the bank. They had a maximum
of 13 slots to fill, with four overseas slots remaining.
The Capitals did not let go of their star Indian players Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma. They also retained the overseas all-rounder duo of Annabel Sutherland and Marizanne Kapp. Niki Prasad was retained for INR 50 lakh as their uncapped player.
