Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has officially announced Sri Lanka Women’s six-match white-ball tour of the West Indies, scheduled to take place in February-March 2026, as part of both teams’ international calendar.
The tour will consist of three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) followed by three T20 Internationals, with all six matches set to be played at the Grenada National Stadium. The series will offer both sides a crucial opportunity to fine-tune combinations and build momentum in limited-overs cricket.
Sri Lanka Women will be keen to make an impact in Caribbean conditions, while the West Indies will look to continue their strong recent run at home, having won their last two T20I series on home soil against South Africa and Bangladesh, respectively.
The visiting side will look to go one step further from where they were during their assignment against the West Indies in 2024. The Asia Cup 2024 champions had given a clean sweep to the hosting side by winning the ODI series 3-0 but had lost the T20Is.
The Lankan Lionesses currently occupy the sixth position in the ICC Women’s ODI rankings, with the West Indies placed ninth. In the T20I rankings, the Caribbean side sits sixth, while the island nation follows closely behind in seventh place.
The T20I leg of the tour assumes added significance, with both sides using the series as a key part of their build-up to the2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in the United Kingdom later this year. Both the sides have been drawn in Group 2, where they will compete alongside hosts England, New Zealand, and two yet-to-be-confirmed qualifiers.
