England's innings was built on a sensational 192-run opening partnership between Ben Duckett and Jacob Bethell. Duckett led the charge with a magnificent 141 off 135 balls, while Bethell played the perfect

Virat Kohli kept India's hopes alive with a well-made 74 off 60 deliveries after the openers departed.
However, England wrestled back control in the final phase of the chase. Sam Curran triggered a collapse by dismissing Kohli, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel, while Jacob Bethell removed the dangerous Rohit. Despite late resistance from Gurnoor Brar and Arshdeep Singh, India eventually finished on 360/7, falling 27 runs short.

Chasing a mammoth target of 388, the Indian opener played an aggressive yet composed knock of 138 off 110 balls, striking 17 boundaries and five sixes.
