The Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on theRajasthan Royals in the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Wednesday, May 27, at the Maharaja
Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.
The Sunrisers finished their league season in third place, securing a spot in the playoffs after a highly competitive campaign under the leadership of Pat Cummins. Throughout the tournament, they have established themselves as one of the most explosive batting units in the league, consistently putting opposition bowling attacks under immense pressure.
The Royals sneaked into the fourth spot to secure the final playoff berth, edging out their competitors on the back of a vital victory over the Mumbai Indians in their final league match. They have shown great resilience, bouncing back from mid-season slumps to peak exactly at the right time.
The two teams met twice this season in the league stage, with the Sunrisers Hyderabad dominating both encounters. The first clash on April 13 in Hyderabad saw SRH put up a clinical performance, dismantling the Royals by 57 runs.
